ok this topic is here mainly for the sake of me strike jero and (maybe) yudy.

we are planning to make a fllash game called(i think) burning galaxys. we will be posting progress here and with luck this will evetully be made into a game. feel free to post ideas and constructive criticsm here

well, game wont be called burning galaxies i think? as that was gona be the 3d 1 but i thinking that that might work better?

also i am working on backgrounds and will have the first training one up here soon! (hopefully!)

sorry about the rubbish ms paint job but it gets the idea across (i hope)

edit:- the race on the screen is my race who are esentially humans with good but not awesome technology.....

and yes we did think about creating a 3d version and we devloped a story but blender wasn't what we where looking for........ anyways if any of you guys think the games format could be changed (view format ect) or any suggestions il happily take them not understand them and make a mess of them in ms paint!

this type of screen allows for more freedom as well as the ability for you and your squaddies to take cover ect. the aiming will be done using the mouse to make it less complicated. it will also however make the game more complicated. also something else i hope we can include is close combat that actuly works and looks cool.

i think that that would work, but it would mean either free movement (up or down screen) or a jump
but the things that are the same should stay the same, it gd! will send u it but the background of that more for jumping (platformer-sorta) but i could make one for free movement if u want

yeah i know what you mean but you can have jump and ree movemnet. as for cover the best way to use it is to allow payers to crouch behind for full protection and stand for partial protection. also im posting my races armoury now!!! its uncomplete but soon it will be more or less complete[img][/img]
also iv had another idea about the game screen.

this game screen shows the ability to select fire mode such as single shot burst of three or full auto.

hey i feel left out. Im part of the P.T too ya know. MY race has yet to be drawn as im lazy but il be doing some specs on word and il try to get some concept art done!

we not leaving u out, we just having 2 wait 4 u! so we just doing what we can!

well im still lazy. So il just post my suggestions.
leveling/exp?
allies in earlier stages befroe going alone?
diffrent ability trees for races(probably too complicated)?
customizable characters colours wepons equipment etc?
npcs like if you go through a town or village?(for an idea how it could work play bleach on four games add a little depth and bingo thats what we are looking for.)?
other stuff like miny games(this is getting harder)?
simply interacting with the environment like cutting down trees and smashing rocks etc?

out of that list pick the ones you want most based on feasibility + depth it will add to the game.

well, i think that they all great for a deep, proffecionaly game but i think 4 now we should go on just the shooting part
